Membership Meeting September 9, 2009
Meeting was called to order by President Connie Sadler-Nelson at 7:04
pm. Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call—President-Connie Sadler Nelson,
Secretary- Marti Clark, Treasurer- Sue Sotelo, Station Coordinator-
Terri Rodriguez, Maintenance- Pete Giroux, Vice President- Vicki
Sommer-Gaines- excused, Clerk craft- Leslie Carney- excused, DIR-
Barbara Mendoza- excused, VMF- Lori McDonald- absent, Trustee- Joyce
Hamilton, Mike Nichols-excused, Michelle Launi- absent.
E-Board Minutes were read- motion to accept- Bruce Phillips- motion to accept, seconded- Cheryl Guttry- motion passed. Minutes read from August meeting- Bruce Phillips- motion to accept, second- Cheryl Guttry- motion passed. Budget Report- Sue Sotelo- no bank statements, that’s why it says reconciliation. Motion to accept- Terri Rodriguez, second- Bonnie Dryfuss, motion passed. Station Coordinator- Terri Rodriguez- rehabs at my station only to answer phones. Other stations- sent to break room or stand by time. Discussion- Rehab Q&A needed paperwork/ DOL Website. Maintenance Report – Pete Giroux. The lighting and security systems upgrade are completed. The air conditioning system will be worked on in a couple of weeks. Reminder not to punch holes in new security badges in order to attach to lanyards – you will be charged $45.00 for a new one. Connie stated that Pete and Duane are doing a great job of policing the contract and filing grievances. Clerk Craft Report – Connie for Leslie Carney – come to work/ swipe into correct Operations. Check your OPF- if you are retiring- military paperwork might not be in file. DIR Report- Connie for Barbara- APWU.org- 1507 do it today here at the office. Motion made for training Barbara, Vicki, Mike- McCain/ Kyle have not returned Barbara’s calls- still working on it. Discussions on tent for Labor Day picnic, under $100- Well represented by Team Clark- won the sack race- Mary Carr- prayer dancers. New Business: Terri Rodriguez- PO is attacking rehabs- Union will make sure they are treated properly.
